Sent you a letter, or postcard, leaving you to imagine what the surprise might be longer than..." A pause as they cross the street, waiting until they step foot back on the curb before continuing, "the eleven blocks you'll have to wait now." She'd have given him a sneak peek back in the graveyard, if knowing where doing something like that would lead wasn't an issue. That hasn't kept her from imagining it, though. Be it against a mausoleum wall or inside one, or up against a tree, his pressed to hers... And eleven blocks is too long! She picks up their pace, wrapping her hand around his and squeezing.
